Alaska Marine Salvage provides comprehensive salvage and towing services. When a vessel experiences an emergency on the water, runs aground, or sinks, AMR is fully equipped to raise and/or tow to any port in Prince William Sound. We also provide commercial diving services and can assess underwater hull damage.

Our vessel response fleet includes the S/T Oswell Foss, a classic single screw diesel tug built and proven to meet the challenges of the Pacific Northwest. This vessel has worked from Puget Sound to the Aleutians, and currently serves as a salvage tug for Alaska Marine Response.

During much of the fishing season, the Oswell Foss is stationed in Prince William Sound, prepared for immediate action. Some of the gear we keep on board includes:

  • Dewatering equipment
  • Dive gear
  • Air compressors
  • Extensive damage control kit
  • Lift bags
  • Oil spill boom and absorbent materials
  • Trash pumps
  • Primary tow line 400’ 1.5” double braid nylon rated at 45,000 lbs.
  • 2” double braid nylon tow bridle fastened to the forward cleats with chafe protection

In the event of an emergency, please contact us at 907.253.7424. For more information about our fleet, check our vessel specs.
